Search Engine Optimisation
Search engine optimisation, known as “SEO”, is the process of getting more visitors to your website from search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing.
SEO can be loosely split into two different kinds. These aren’t industry standard terms (there are no industry standards in SEO), but these definitions serve us well explaining LeadNet’s SEO.
Technical SEO
The technical aspects of your website: the HTML code, CSS code, server type, location, speed… and a myriad of other elements. When working together these elements can better the appearance of your site to search engines.
An example: your drain blocking page on your website is titled “AAA Plumbers“, and so is every other page on your website. Changing the title to “Drain unblocking services | AAA Plumbers” tells the engines specifically what that page is about, what it means, or what you’ll find there.
Marketing SEO
We also refer to marketing SEO as “organic” SEO – the process of marketing links and the website in general through a variety of strategies and tactics.
We refer to it as organic SEO because the mere act of doing business well and having a website will garner you links and attention both offline and online.
An example: you talk to friends and associates about your website, and ask them to link to your website from theirs using strategically chosen keywords. Or, you start a competition which will provide traffic via a variety of channels and potentially improve your long term SEO objectives.
LeadNet implements SEO starting with technical aspects. We ensure your web site is accessable and indexable by search engines, and then analyse your industry, keywords, and other unique aspects of your business to formulate strategy.
